Our Leadership History:

Lisa Stephens

Founding Director of LYM

Lisa Stephens joined our organization in 2005 as LYM was just being formed through Jackson County Family Connection.  She volunteered as the Program Director for 2 years while building the core mentor group. Soon after, she was hired by Family Connection as a part-time director.  In 2012, Lisa led a strategic planning committee and formed the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Lindsay's Legacy Mentoring, Inc., currently known as Legacy Youth Mentoring. Lisa was the founding Executive Director of the non-profit organization. She joined the Jackson County School System as Mentor Coordinator in July 2019 with a shared services employment opportunity between Jackson County Schools, Jefferson City Schools, and Commerce City Schools. People ask her about the longevity she has enjoyed with LYM and the answer is: " I love the mission. I love the impact mentoring had on my life as a young person and now on the lives of countless others!"
